Vegan shashliks with marinated tofu and OLE! Chilli Garlic in Oil


  • 1 natural tofu cube
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • 2-3 tablespoons of oil from chilli garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of oyster oil
  • soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped ginger
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 yellow and 1 red bell pepper
  • cherry tomatoes
  • OLE! Chilli Garlic in Oil
  • salt, pepper
  • your favourite herbs to sprinkle on vegetables (e.g. Herbes de Provence)
  • rosemary twig


  • shashlik sticks
  • sauce: homemade pesto, tomato sauce or herbal vegan yoghurt sauce

Marinade the tofu one day in advance. Do so by pouring the sauces into a bowl, adding the chopped garlic and ginger, and 2 tablespoons of oil from garlic. Dice the tofu and add to the marinade. Refrigerate overnight. Cut the vegetables and coat with around 3 tablespoons of oil from garlic. Add herbs and sprinkle salt and pepper. Leave for at least one hour. Skewer the vegetables, tofu, and cloves of OLE! Chilli Garlic in Oil onto the sticks. Grill on a big flame (alternatively grilling pan).
