Herring with Marinated Mushrooms with Carrots and Onions OLE! and physalis

– 5 sheets of herring (matyjas)
– 1 small onion
– oil
– 4 balls of physalis (plus for decoration)
– pepper
marinated mushrooms with carrots and onions OLE!
– 1 small bunch of dill

Rinse herrings with cold water and soak them in milk for several hours or preferably overnight.
Chop the onion very finely. Pour onion with oil and sprinkle with pepper. Add herrings cut into strips. Cut the physalis and mushrooms into quarters. Add to herrings.
Add chopped dill. Mix everything together.
Put in the fridge for a few hours for the flavors to develop.
