Falafels with OLE! Capers in oil


  • 300 g of chickpeas (soaked in water all night long)
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • OLE! Capers in oil  (in amount to your liking)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley/coriander
  • seasonings: ½ spoon of each of the following: cinnamon, cayenne pepper, ginger, nutmeg, sweet pepper, turmeric
  • salt
  • frying oil (e.g. rapeseed)
  • sesame (optional)

For serving:

  • hummus
  • herbal and garlic yoghurt sauce

Rinse the soaked chickpeas and blend in a blender or food processor. Add remaining ingredients. Wrap in foil and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Mix the mass afterwards. Wet your hands and form small balls. You can roll them in sesame. Fry on heated oil on both sides (for about 3 minutes each). Put the chops on a paper towel. Serve hot with hummus or herbal and garlic yoghurt and vegetables.
