Cocktail sandwiches

With arugula, herring, and OLE! Golden Onions in Vinegar

  • a few slices of rye or gluten-free bread with seeds
  • a few herrings in oil
  • cream cheese or garlic butter
  • OLE! Golden Onions in Vinegar
  • freshly ground pepper

Slice the bread to your liking. Spread the cream cheese or garlic butter on the bread slices. Add arugula, herrings, and onions. Sprinkle with freshly ground pepper.

 

With horseradish cheese, OLE! Golden Onions in Vinegar, and salmon

  • a few slices of sunflower bread (or a different bread of your liking)
  • cream cheese
  • horseradish – in amount of your liking
  • smoked salmon
  • OLE! Golden Onions in Vinegar
  • olive oil

Combine the cream cheese with horseradish and add seasonings. Spread on the bread slices with salmon and onions. Sprinkle with olive oil.

 

3. With pear, gorgonzola cheese, prosciutto ham, and OLE! Golden Onions in Vinegar

  • A few slices of your favourite bread
  • 1 pear
  • piece of gorgonzola cheese
  • a few slices of prosciutto ham
  • OLE! Golden Onions in Vinegar
  • thick balsamic vinegar

Peel (you do not have to peel thin-skinned pears) and dice the pear. Cut up the cheese into small pieces as well. Place one piece of ham and one piece of cheese on every slice of bread. Sprinkle with vinegar and place the onions on top.
