Herrings with OLE! Capers in Vinegar in sour cream and dill sauce


  • 1 package of herrings (about 6-8 fillets)
  • 1/3 of a jar of OLE! Capers in Vinegar
  • 1 glass of sour cream
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 2 onions
  • 2 teaspoons of horseradish and mayonnaise each
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • pepper

Soak herrings in water for several hours or all night long. Cut into strips (to the size of your liking).

Combine the sour cream, squeezed garlic, chopped dill, horseradish, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and pepper in a separate bowl. Cut onions into slices.

Arrange the herrings on a platter, add onions, some of the OLE! Capers in Vinegar, add sauce , and sprinkle with remaining Capers.
